Old Window: Backyard Treatment

Here is the first project done with the old windows.

Such a simple project with outstanding results!  Doesn't it just make the whole atmosphere of the backyard quaint and cozy?  I love it!

The kids loved helping with this project!  Filling the canning jars with rocks was just the right job!

They were great helpers putting the flowers in the jars!

Here is the great work they did!

Here is the finished product...

So easy and fun, with such dramatic results!

The twine is used to hold the jars to the fence.  It is wrapped around the wood slats and then around the jar and the bow finishes and holds it all together.

This really transforms the backyard into a place to relax!
Great job Brooke!

I like this idea. My mom puts stuff on the fence and at first I thought it was odd; but why not? It is an extension of the space and your old window and flowers dress your space up nicely.

I hope you can join us at the It’s a Wrap Link Party at Artful Rising

I love it! It inspires me to do something similar in my backyard. I have part of a wooden fence behind a couple of trees and flower beds - and an old window. I've thought about putting the old window up on that fence. Now I think I'll just go do it. Thank you for the inspiration:)

Very cute! I'd love to know how you attached both the window and the jars?

Katy said...

Hi Briana, I love the old windows. Someone gave me an old window attached to a wooden saw horse with a flower box attached to that. I
{ L O V E D } it, very regretfully I gave it to a friend when I moved from one city to another. I haven't but I should, tell her if she ever tires of it, to please let me have first dibs.
Maybe I can make one some day!
All Great Things to You, Katy
